Geographic Concepts Test for Kindergarten Children

The researcher developed a test for geographical concepts, which consisted of 20 items distributed over four geographical concepts suitable for kindergarten children, with 5 items for each concept. The researcher selected 300 male and female kindergarten children from the city of Baghdad. The results show kindergarten children have geographical concepts. Female kindergarten children have the first concept of geographical concepts than males. There is no statistically significant difference in the variable of academic achievement of the mother and father among the sample members in the test. The researcher presented a set of recommendations and suggestions for future studies: increasing the awareness of educational administrations of geographical concepts and their impact on the child's environment through lectures and seminars held by the education directorates, and studying geographical concepts in relation to the methods of socialization of teachers.
