Abstract

The current research aims to identify the level of emotional attachment among families of kindergarten children. Identify the difference in emotional attachment among families of kindergarten children in terms of gender. A sample of 200 families was chosen randomly from all public kindergartens affiliated with the General Directorates of Education in Baghdad for the academic year (2023-2024) on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa. To measure emotional attachment, the researcher developed a scale of 34 items administered to the research sample. The finding revealed families of kindergarten children have emotional attachment. There is a significant difference between males and females in favor of males. The researcher recommended the need for media entities to hold cultural and social seminars for families to increase awareness. Conduct meetings, seminars, and meetings for mothers and fathers to make them aware of the importance of family emotional attachment and respect the distances and privacy of every member of the family. The researcher also suggested conducting an experimental program to develop emotional attachment skills among mothers and fathers. Conducting studies dealing with emotional attachment in relation with other variables, such as positive illusions, existential presence, and socialization methods.
